Recognize the Weatherford Christian School Lions baseball team for their consecutive state championship wins. Mayor Paul Paschall recognized the team for their fourth consecutive state championship and challenged them to win again and come back in 2023. Brief presentation from Lyndsie Montgomery regarding Downtown Weatherford, Inc. Ms. Montgomery presented a status report regarding Downtown Weatherford, Inc.
Consent agenda, approved as one vote (4-0, on the motion of Kevin Cleveland, second by Jeff Robinson): Approved the minutes of the City Council meeting held May 24, 2022. Appointed Dr. Joshua Tarbay to the Weatherford Economic Development Board as the Planning and Zoning Commission representative. Approved Resolution R2022-17 authorizing the City Manager to execute an Advanced Funding Agreement (AFA) with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for US 180 Green Ribbon Corridor Enhancements. Approved Resolution R2022-19 authorizing the City Manager to execute an AFA with the TxDOT for the Town Creek Hike and Bike Trail Phase III Project. Authorized the City Manager to enter into a Service Agreement with GovBuilt and a License Agreement with e-Plan, Inc. for the installation, use, and support of the GovBuilt and ePlanSoft systems for permitting and land use business functions in the amount of $297,870.
Hold a PUBLIC HEARING on the adoption of roadway impact fees and consider adoption of Ordinance O2022-14 establishing a Roadway Impact Fee Program. Director of Capital Projects Chad Marbut presented this item. Staff recommended that City Council accept the Roadway Capital Improvement Advisory Committee’s (CIAC) recommendation to establish a Roadway Impact Fee Program, including any revisions or additions resulting from the Public Hearing and City Council consideration, and adopt Ordinance O2022-14 accepting the roadway impact fee study and establishing a Roadway Impact Fee Program. Mayor Paschall opened the public hearing at 6:56 p.m. As there were no speakers, Mayor Paschall closed the hearing at 6:56 p.m. On the motion of Jeff Robinson, second by Matt Ticzkus, the Council voted to approve this item as presented. Motion carried 4 - 0.
Hold a PUBLIC HEARING and consider approval of amendments to Title XII, Zoning Ordinance, concerning commercial zoning districts, uses, and definitions. Director of Development and Neighborhood Services Kaleb Kentner stated that the Planning and Zoning Commission tabled this item at their previous meeting and has not made a recommendation to City Council. Mayor Paschall opened the public hearing at 6:57 p.m. There were no speakers. Mayor Paschall continued the hearing until July 26th at 6:30 p.m. On the motion of Kevin Cleveland, second by Matt Ticzkus, the Council voted to continue the public hearing and to table this item until July 26th. Motion carried 4 - 0.
