Proclamation recognizing Weatherford Christian School's 20th Anniversary Mayor Paul Paschall presented this proclamation to Dr. Beth Riley and administrators of Weatherford Christian School.
Consent agenda, approved as one vote (4-0, on the motion of Heidi Wilder, second by Matt Ticzkus): Approved the minutes of the City Council meeting held December 14, 2021. Authorized the City Manager to execute a professional services contract with Brandstetter Carroll Inc. to develop a Parks and Recreation Master Plan for the City of Weatherford in an amount not to exceed $97,820.
Discuss and consider an alternative meeting schedule for the month of July 2022. City Manager James Hotopp presented the possibility of the Council meeting only once in July on the 4th Tuesday. Discussion included time sensitive matters such as plat approvals. Should something arise, a special meeting could be called. All Council Members were in favor. Mayor Paschall asked that Mr. Hotopp discuss this topic with Council Member Robinson. No action was taken.
Receive a report and consider the adoption of Resolution R2022-01 setting a public hearing on land use assumptions and a capital improvement plan relating to possible adoption of roadway impact fees. Director of Capital Projects Chad Marbut spoke briefly about this item and introduced Jeff Whitacre with Kimley-Horn. Mr. Whitacre explained the process up to this point and stated that a public hearing is the next step. On the motion of Heidi Wilder, second by Matt Ticzkus, the Council voted to approve Resolution R2022-01 setting a public hearing on land use assumptions and capital improvement plan relating to possible adoption of roadway impact fees for February 22, 2022. Motion carried 4 - 0.
Notification of Green Ribbon Funding Award for US 180 Corridor Enhancements Mr. Marbut presented this item as well. This award is for improvements of gateway entries into the City. The location is from FM 730 to the new Center Point Road intersection. The award is $400k and Mr. Marbut will bring forward an advanced funding agreement at a future meeting. Mayor Paschall suggested the consideration of some additional lighting since that section of road is so dark. No action was required.
Annual Code Enforcement Report Director of Development and Neighborhood Services Kaleb Kentner presented this item which was for informational purposes only. No action was required or taken.
