Presentation of the Texas Municipal Clerk's Achievement of Excellence Award to the City Secretary's Office. Texas Municipal Clerk's Association Trustee Alicia Richardson, City Secretary and Chief Governance Officer for the City of North Richland Hills, presented this award to City Secretary Malinda Nowell. Mrs. Nowell thanked Assistant City Secretary Krista Peacock and Receptionist Kayla Martin for their help with tasks in the City Secretary's Office and for the encouragement and assistance in applying for this award.
Consent agenda, approved as one vote (4-0, on the motion of Mayor Pro Tem Heidi Wilder, second by Jeff Robinson): Approved the minutes of the City Council Retreat held May 18, 2021 and the City Council Meeting held May 25, 2021. Approved updates to the Industrial Pretreatment Program, and adopted Ordinance O2021-31 updating Title VIII, Chapter 3C "Industrial/Commercial Sewer Use" of the City Code of Weatherford.
Discuss and consider the following appointments: City Council representatives on the Weatherford Economic Development Board and Municipal Utility Board; City Council liaisons to City Boards, Commissions, and Committees; City Council representatives on the Audit Committee, the Risk Management Committee, and the Utility Service Committee; and Mayor Pro Tem. Mayor Paul Paschall opened this item stating that the Council reconsiders these positions each year following election. Currently serving in these roles are: Heidi Wilder (Pl. 1) Matt Ticzkus (Pl. 3) *Mayor Pro Tem *Liaison to Parks and Recreation Board *Municipal Utility Board Member *Liaison to Transportation Advisory Board *Audit Committee *Utility Service Committee *Risk Management Committee *Liaison to Animal Shelter Advisory Comm. Kevin Cleveland (Pl. 4) *Liaison to Library Board *Economic Development Board Member *Liaison to Historic Preservation Commission Jeff Robinson (Pl. 2) *Liaison to Planning and Zoning Commission *Municipal Utility Board Member *Economic Development Board Member *Liaison to Building & Standards Commission *Liaison to Zoning Board of Adjustment On the motion of Matt Ticzkus, second by Jeff Robinson, the Council voted to approve the aforementioned positions, with no changes to the previous year. Motion carried 4 - 0.
Discuss and consider appointments to the Weatherford Economic Development Board. Assistant City Manager/CFO Brad Burnett presented this item. On the motion of Matt Ticzkus, second by Heidi Wilder, the Council voted to approve the following appointments for the Weatherford Economic Development Board: Ken Davis as the Municipal Utility Board representative; Allison Baker as the Planning and Zoning Commission representative; and Brandon Garrett as the citizen representative. Motion carried 4 - 0.
