Consent agenda, approved as one vote: 6.a: Approved Resolution R2025-03 amending the 2021 Parker County Hazard Mitigation Plan. 6.b: Authorized the City Manager to purchase audio-visual (AV) hardware and installation services from Infinity Sound, Ltd. in an amount not to exceed $96,000. 6.c: Authorized the City Manager to renew the support contract with Central Square for the Computer Aided Dispatch/Records Management System (CAD/RMS) in the amount of $99,455. 6.d: Authorized DT Commercial Roofing Systems to replace the Weatherford Public Library roof through The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) using contract numbers JOC 23010402 and NON-JOC 23010401, in an amount not to exceed $248,167. 6.e: Appointed Eric Shumar to the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee. 6.f: Approved the combined purchases of police body armor and safety equipment from Federal Eastern International in an amount not to exceed $100,000. 6.g: Accepted the Police Department's 2024 Racial Profiling Report.
7.a: Hold a PUBLIC HEARING and consider adoption of Resolution R2025-04, concerning a request for a designation of an individual local historic landmark at 401 Fort Worth Highway, known as Santa Fe Depot, City of Weatherford, Parker County, Texas. Senior Planner Monica Johnson presented a request for individual local historic landmark designation for the Santa Fe Depot located at 401 Fort Worth Highway. Mayor Pro Tem Heidi Wilder opened the Public Hearing at 6:07 p.m. With no public comments, Mayor Pro Tem Wilder closed the Public Hearing at 6:07 p.m. On the motion of Matt Ticzkus, second by Zack Smith, the City Council voted unanimously to approve the local historic landmark designation for the property. The motion carried 4 - 0.
7.b: Hold a PUBLIC HEARING and consider adoption of Ordinance O2025-06, closing, vacating, and abandoning a portion of Van Street right of way, being located in the Stonegate plat recorded in Volume 362-A, Page 76, Plat Records, City of Weatherford, Parker County, Texas. Director of Development and Neighborhood Services Kaleb Kentner presented a proposed ordinance to close, vacate, and abandon a portion of Van Street right-of-way. Mayor Pro Tem Heidi Wilder opened the Public Hearing at 6:10 p.m. With no public comments, Mayor Pro Tem Wilder closed the Public Hearing at 6:11 p.m. On the motion of Luke Williams, second by Matt Ticzkus, the City Council voted unanimously to adopt Ordinance O2025-06, approving the closure, vacation, and abandonment of a portion of Van Street right-of-way. The motion carried 4 – 0, and the ordinance is captioned as follows: ORDINANCE NO. O2025-06 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF VAN STREET IN THE CITY OF WEATHERFORD, TEXAS; DECLARING THAT SUCH PROPERTY IS UNNECESSARY FOR USE BY THE PUBLIC; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE QUITCLAIM DEEDS TO THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
