Discuss/Consider/Approve feasibility study for the expansion of the current Sheriff's Office building and allocate funding. Chief Deputy Mark Arnett presented information to the Court. Motion by Commissioner Conley, seconded by Commissioner Holt, to approve the feasibility ~ study and take the $7,500 out of Program Contingency; carried.
Exterior repairs to the Jim Wright building. Parker County Historic Commission Brenda McClurkin presented information to the Court. Motion by Commissioner Holt, seconded by Commissioner Walden, to approve the proposal from Komatsu Architecture, with the funds to be taken from Buildings and Grounds budget in the amount of $29,600; carried.
Approve contracts for the March 31, 2026 and May 2, 2026 General and Special Elections; authorize County Attorney to sign contracts. Motion by Commissioner Walden, seconded by Commissioner Holt, to approve; carried.
Consider/Take action on.a burn ban Fire Marshal Frank Watson presented information to the Court. Motion by Commissioner Walden, seconded by Commissioner Hale, to approve not extending the burn ban past March 9, 2026; carried.
Authorize HR to post County Fire Marshal position. Motion by Commissioner Walden,, seconded by Judge Deen, to begin the process of hiring a County Fire Marshal position that is an employee of the County.
Reappoint Donna Tillman, Tim Lewelling, and Tom Huffines to the ESD6 board of - directors. Motion by Commissioner Walden, seconded by Commissioner Hale, to approve; carried.
Accept/Reject/Renew PC25-08 Home Improvement & Building Supplies. Motion by Commissioner Conley, seconded by Commissioner Hale, to approve award to Higginbotham Brothers for an additional year, renewing the bid for the period of April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027 at the same terms and conditions as the original contract; carried.

Approve as salvage and destruction of Whirlpool refrigerator, bulletproof vests and Law Library desk and shelving. Motion by Commissioner Walden, seconded by Commissioner Conley, to approve scrapping ‘asset number 19797 Whirlpool refrigerator, law library shelving and desk with panels for shelving, and the Sheriff's Department’s request to destroy a bulletproof vest that has exceeded the manufacturer’s warranty; carried.

Consider/Approve K-9 stipend at $250 per pay period for Sheriff's Office K-9 handler. Motion by Commissioner Hale, seconded by Commissioner Holt, to approve; carried.
Notification of intent to enter into an MOU between the Parker County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Office to train and credential Parker County Sheriff's deputies to perform certain immigration enforcement functions utilizing the 287(g) program. Discuss/Approve acceptance of supplemental and/or reimbursement funds from the US.
