The Parker County Commissioners Court met in regular session Oct. 28, 2024 at the courthouse in Weatherford. What the court decided, as the minutes record it:

Approve the County Judge to sign Resolution Authorizing County Grant Program Year 2025 to Parker County Committee on Aging, Inc. Motion by Commissioner Walden PCT 3, seconded by Commissioner Holt PCT 2, to approve; carried.

Public Hearing for Reinvestment Zone. No action taken.

Vote for approval of Reinvestment Zone. Motion by Commissioner Conley PCT 1, seconded by Commissioner Holt PCT 2, to approve; carried.

Requiring the location of water wells to be shown on the surface of all new plats based off of a recommendation from the Upper Trinity Groundwater Conservation District and authorization to add this item to our current Subdivision Rules and Regulations. Motion by Commissioner Holt PCT 2, seconded by Commissioner Conley PCT 1, to approve; carried.

Proclaim October 27 - November 2, 2024 as Texas Extension Education Association Week in Parker County. Motion by Commissioner Walden PCT 3, seconded by Commissioner Holt PCT 2, to approve; carried.

Revising subdivision regulations with the following changes:.

Consider adding the requirement to perform a downstream drainage assessment for new subdivisions. Motion by Commissioner Holt PCT 2,, seconded by Commissioner Conley PCT 1, to approve; carried.

Consider requiring new private roads to meet some or all of the county minimum standards for road construction. Motion by Commissioner Holt PCT 2, seconded by Judge Deen that we require new private roads, to meet all of our current county minimum standards for road construction; carried.

Update platting fees to the amounts suggested by Jamie Tierce. No action taken.

Update RV park requirements to require that internal roads meet minimum county standards. Motion by Commissioner Walden PCT 3, seconded by Commissioner Hale PCT 4, to approve; carried.

Discussion regarding roadway issues inside of Oak Tree Ranch Estates located in Precinct Two. Motion by Commissioner Holt PCT 2, seconded by Commissioner Walden PCT 3, to approve; carried.

Motion by Commissioner Walden PCT 3, seconded by Commissioner Holt PCT 2, to move into negotiations with the City of Weatherford and authorize the County Attorney and the County Judge to offer properties that we own as outlined there with the City of Weatherford in exchange for the property at 202 W; carried.

Approve the preliminary plat for Rio Vista Phase 3 and Phase 5 now known as Sierra Vista as Phase 1 and Phase 2 consisting of 54.156 acres developed by Kelly Ranch LLC located off of Bear Creek Road with Cresson Crossroads MUD water in Precinct Four. Motion by Commissioner Hale PCT 4, seconded by Commissioner Conley PCT 1, to approve; carried.

Approve the final plat for a subdivision to be known as Sierra Vista Ph 1 consisting of 54.156 acres developed by Kelly Ranch Estates LLC located off of Bear Creek Road with Cresson Crossroads MUD water in Precinct Four.
