Consent agenda, approved as one vote (5-0, on the motion of Jeff Robinson, second by Heidi Wilder): Approved the minutes of the City Council meeting held June 22, 2021. Rejected all proposals associated with Bid#2021-018 for Professional Auditing Services and allowed staff to resolicit proposals with a revised scope of services. Authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with Alpha Testing for construction materials and testing services for the Weatherford Public Safety Building for an amount not to exceed $104,475.00. Authorized the City Manager to utilize additional funds not to exceed $75k for contracted legal services with Taylor, Olson, Adkins, Sralla & Elam, LLP (TOASE) for the remainder of FY21. Consider award of BID #2021-020 to Matrix Demolition LLC for Demolition Services at 107, 109 and 111 College Ave in the amount of $87,850.00. This item was removed from the Consent Agenda for separate consideration. Director of Development and Neighborhood Services Kaleb Kentner presented this item. Having received only one bid, staff requested Council to reject this bid. On the motion of Kevin Cleveland, second by Heidi Wilder, the Council voted unanimously to reject this bid. Motion carried 5 - 0.
Hold a PUBLIC HEARING and consider approval of Ordinance O2021-36 on the voluntary annexation of "Wossum Ranch 2021 Phases 3 and 5" being approximately 56.71 acres situated in and being a portion of the J. J. BRADFORD SURVEY, ABSTRACT No. 1931; the T. JACKSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT No. 745 and the J. WOOSLEY SURVEY, ABSTRACT No. 1641, Parker County, Texas and being a portion of all that certain lot, tract or parcel of land described by deed to Richard Green d/b/a Castlemont Homes recorded in Doc No. 201822171, Official Records, Parker County, Texas, to enlarge and expand the boundary limits of the City of Weatherford, Texas. Director of Development and Neighborhood Services Kaleb Kentner presented this item. Staff recommended approval of the voluntary annexation ordinance. Mayor Paul Paschall opened the public hearing at 6:35 p.m. As there were no speakers, Mayor Paschall closed the hearing at 6:35 p.m. On the motion of Jeff Robinson, second by Matt Ticzkus, the Council voted unanimously to approve this item. Motion carried 5 - 0.
