Hold a PUBLIC HEARING on the voluntary annexation of "Wossum Ranch 2020" approximately 80.17 acres situated in and being a portion of the T & P RR COMPANY SURVEY, SECTION No. 99, ABSTRACT No. 1446; J. J. BRADFORD SURVEY, ABSTRACT No. 1931 and the J. WOOSLEY SURVEY, ABSTRACT No. 1641, Parker County, Texas and being all that certain lot, tract or parcel of land described by deed to Castlemont Homes recorded in Doc No. 201822717, Official Records, Parker County, Texas. City Manager James Hotopp presented this item. This is the first of two public hearings. This is a voluntary annexation request from a developer who is proposing a single-family development. This annexation request is for approximately 80 acres and the annexation only affects the land area proposed by the developer. Mayor Paul Paschall opened the public hearing at 5:41 p.m. • Michael Yarborough, 2558 Greenbranch Road, inquired about depth of the ETJ that is to be extended; who will vote on the extension of the ETJ; why does it extend so far north; what is the difference in services he has today versus if he is in the ETJ. • David Burnam, Greenbranch Road, asked whether a new governor could reverse annexation opinions. • Allen Davis, 3363 La Mesa, inquired about why the ETJ does not follow a highway. • Michelle Thomas, 151 Sandy Creek Trail, asked for more information about the two-mile ETJ. • Alex King, 512 Gun [...]
