5.a: Consider the appointment of a Vice Chair to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Chair Kathe McDonald opened the floor for nominations for the position of Vice Chair. On the motion of Calynn Mullins, second by Brook Cray, the board voted to appoint Kindra Lucia as Vice Chair. The motion carried unanimously, 5-0.
6.a: Update on programming, events, and projects. Director of Parks, Recreation, and Special Events Jaycob Kirkpatrick provided an overview of current, past and upcoming programming, events, and projects.
6.b: Update on Love Street Splash Pad, McGratton Park and Holland Lake Playground. Director of Parks, Recreation, and Special Events Jaycob Kirkpatrick provided updates on the Love Street Splash Pad, McGratton Park, and Holland Lake Playground projects. Mr. Kirkpatrick discussed the current status of each project, including design concepts and construction progress for the future Parks and Development Services offices, and answered PARD04232026 Page 1 of 2 questions from the Board. During the discussion, Chair Kathe McDonald encouraged Board members to attend the Parks Appreciation Lunch in July.
