4.a: Consider recommendation of Ordinance O2025-28 amending Title IX, Chapter 11, section 9-11-1 park general regulations. Following discussion, a review of the proposed amendments was provided by the Director of Parks and Recreation Jaycob Kirkpatrick, After the review, a motion to approve the recommendation of the ordinance as presented was made by Kindra Lucia and seconded by Rich Zimmer. The motion carried unanimously 5 – 0.
5.a: Update on programming, events, and projects. Director of Parks, Recreation and Special Events Jaycob Kirkpatrick presented this item. Mr. Kirkpatrick gave an overview of the third quarter report. This update was for informational purposes, and no action was required or taken. .
5.b: Update on Special Event Programs presented by Michael Howard. Special Events Manager Michael Howard provided an introduction and overview of current and upcoming special event programs and operations. His presentation highlighted the department’s day-to- day responsibilities and explained how the Special Events Division facilitates and supports the needs of events held both by the department and by outside organizations throughout the city.
