5.a: Presentation of the Purple Heart to K-9 Jack. Assistant City Manager and Chief of Police Lance Arnold presented the Purple Heart to K-9 Jack, who was wounded in the ear and the paw during the course of his duties while assisting another agency on November 16, 2023. The City Council presented a care basket to K-9 Jack in appreciation of his service.
Consent agenda, approved as one vote: 7.a: Approved a request for historical appraised tax value exemption renewal for an individual local historic landmark at 605 South Waco Street, City of Weatherford, Parker County, Texas. 7.b: Approved Resolution R2024-01 naming authorized City signers on all investment accounts at Texas Bank. 7.c: Authorized the Mayor to designate Division Chief Michael Baldwin as the Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Weatherford. 7.d: Approved a six-month lease extension agreement with Ellis Three Holdings, LLC for the property located at 221 North Main. 7.e: Approved a one-year lease extension agreement with Gary and Jimmy Hutton for the properties located at 213 Fort Worth Highway and 217 Fort Worth Highway, commonly known as the Weatherford "Farmers" Public Market Buildings. 7.f: Approved professional services agreements with Catalyst Commercial, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $150,000.00 for services relating to retail recruitment, a housing study and I-20 zoning overlay.
