Mrs. Mary Petty with P3 Works presented information regarding PIDs and MUDs, including the following: • Legal regulatory framework in Chapter 372 of the Local Government Code. • What PIDs are and are not, and why cities use them. • How PIDs work and how they are created. • Financial implications for the City. • Benefits and potential challenges of PIDs. • A comparison of PIDs and MUDs.
