General Budget Updates. Bianca Lord, Budget Analyst, presented budget updates.
Capital & Non-Capital Budget Requests. Jonathan Castilaw, Motorola Account Executive, Casey Moore, Senior Account Manager with Motorola Solutions, and James Caywood, IT Director, presented information to the court regarding Radio Towers. No action taken.
Salaries and Benefits for PCSO. County Treasurer, Becky McCullough, Sheriff Russ Authier, and Mark Arnett, Chief Deputy, presented information to the Court. Motion by Commissioner Conley, seconded by Commissioner Walden, to a step in grade for , the Sheriff's Department; AYES: County Judge Pat Deen, Commissioner Conley, Commissioner Walden, Commissioner Hale NOES: Commissioner Holt; carried.
Discuss/Vote on Proposed Elected Officials Salaries. Motion by Commissioner Holt, seconded by County Judge Pat Deen, to approve keeping elected official’s salaries flat year over year with no COLA, and to apply to elected officials other than the Sheriff and Constables; AYES: Commissioner Holt NOES: County Judge Pat Deen, Commnissioner Conley, Commissioner Walden, Commissioner Hale , MOTION FAILED Motion was made by Commissioner Walden and seconded by Commissioner Conley to approve the Commissioners of Precincts 1 through 4, the District Clerk, the County Clerk, the Treasurer, Tax Assessor Collector and the Sheriff, that their salaries be set at the level of the County Auditor, if they ; have been in office for ten years or more; if they have been in office for less than 10 years, then they would fall under another category and that would be the same as the Purchasing Agent. That omits several other offices, the JP’s 1 through 4 and the Constables | through 4; in relation to the others their . percentage increase for those four JP’s and the four Constables will be set at 5% level to bring them up. AYES: County Judge Pat Deen, Commissioner Conley, Commissioner Walden, Commissioner Hale NOES: Commissioner Holt; carried.

Motion by Commissioner Walden, seconded by Commissioner Holt, to approve to leave the allocation the same as previous year, per the formula for distribution, but to reserve the right to come back to it later; AYES: County Judge Pat Deen, Commissioner Holt, Commissioner Walden NOES: Commissioner Conley, Commissioner Hale; carried.
