Discuss/Vote on Special Revenue Funds and Projects. Brianna Fowler, County Auditor, presented an overview of Special Revenue Funds and Projects to the court. The following motions were made: *Motion was made by Commissioner Walden and seconded by Commissioner Conley to approve the use of ARPA money to fund the Radio Requests that are currently approved in the budget in the amount of $121,000.00. Motion by Commissioner Walden, seconded by Commissioner Holt, to ratify the County Attorney salary schedule as provided to us today; carried.
General Budget Update. Commissioner Holt presented information to the court regarding the Sheriff's Office request for additional positions. 3 , Minutes-Special Session September 18, 2024 Page 3 *Motion was made by Commissioner Holt and seconded by Commissioner Hale to add to the General Fund Budget, one dispatch position and the ancillary cap/non-cap, and one patrol position, with the ancillary cap/non-cap for a total of approximately, $328,325.00. Commissioner Holt amended his motion to strip out the request of the vehicle (which should save about $110,000.00) and the radio request, (which will save about $134,100.00), and to approve a total net cost for the dispatch position and the patrol position of approximately $84,000.00 to come from fund balance. AYES: Commissioner Conley, Commissioner Holt, Commissioner Hale NOES: Judge Deen, Commissioner Walden; carried.
