3.a: Consider a request for a facade improvement grant for 203 North Main Street in an amount not to exceed $161,000.00. Director of Economic Development Ashley Seiler presented a façade improvement grant request for 203 North Main Street. Contractor, Tom Woody, spoke in favor of improving downtown. After discussion, on the motion of Brandon Garrett, second by Zack Smith, the board voted to deny the request. Motion carried 3 – 0.
3.b: Consider a request for a facade improvement grant for 208 North Main Street in an amount not to exceed $68,500.00 Director of Economic Development Ashley Seiler presented a façade improvement grant request for 208 North Main Street. After discussion, on the motion of Zack Smith, second by Brandon Garrett, the board voted to deny the request. Motion carried 3 – 0.
3.c: Consider a request for a facade improvement grant for 122 York Avenue in an amount not to exceed $31,525.00 Director of Economic Development Ashley Seiler presented a façade improvement grant request for 122 York Avenue. After discussion, on the motion of Brandon Garrett, second by Zack Smith, the board voted to deny the request. Motion carried 3 – 0.
3.d: Consider a request for a restaurant incentive for the Cotton Bratton, 113 College Ave, in an amount not to exceed $279,471.37. Director of Economic Development Ashley Seiler presented a restaurant incentive request for Cotton Bratton at 113 College Avenue. WEDB01172025 Page 1 of 2 The applicant, Matt Hughes, introduced himself and made himself available for questions. After discussion, on the motion of Zack Smith, second by Brandon Garrett, the board voted to approve the request. Motion carried 2 - 1. Ken Davis voted in opposition.
3.e: Consider a request for a facade improvement grant for 112 Dallas Avenue in an amount not to exceed $40,688.50. Director of Economic Development Ashley Seiler presented a façade improvement grant request for 112 Dallas Avenue. After discussion, on the motion of Zack Smith, second by Brandon Garrett, the board voted to deny the request. Motion carried 3 – 0.
3.f: Consider approval of Chapter 380 Economic Development Agreement between The City of Weatherford and Providence Restaurants, LLC. Director of Economic Development Ashley Seiler presented a Chapter 380 Agreement request for Providence Restaurants, LLC. The applicant’s original request was a $200,000.00 incentive reimbursement within thirty days of the developer obtaining a Certificate of Occupancy and a $300,000.00 tax reimbursement over a six-year period for a total of up to $500,000.00. After discussion, on the motion of Ken Davis, second by Zack Smith, the board voted to approve the reimbursement of fifty percent of the City’s sales and use tax revenue received by the City from the State Comptroller generated from the project, for a period of six years from the City’s issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy, or until the developer has been reimbursed a maximum of $300,000.00. The $200,000.00 incentive reimbursement portion of the request was denied. Motion carried 3 – 0.
