Presentation and open discussion of the planning process and goals of the Parks, Recreation and Special Events Master Plan. Director of Parks, Recreation & Special Events Shannon Goodman introduced the consultant Patrick Hoagland with Brandstetter Carroll, Inc. who posed the following questions for discussion: 1. This Master Plan will be successful if…… 2. From your perspective as a community leader, what do you perceive as the largest unmet needs for parks, recreation services, and events in Weatherford? 3. Pretend it is 2033 and you are extremely pleased with what the City has accomplished over the last 10 years. What has happened to result in this success? What is your vision for the future of the parks and recreation services in Weatherford? Mr. Hoagland advised that the Council and Board can expect the report to be completed by December 2022. Mayor Paschall requested citizen engagement and participation be doubled to at least 3,000.
