Consider Resolution R2022-09 directing City staff to apply to the Texas Public Utility Commission for the partial decertification of the City's certificate of convenience and necessity for sewer services for the areas currently certified that lay outside the City's corporate limits. Assistant City Manager Aaron Russell presented items 2a and 2b simultaneously. Mr. Russell explained that these items are to help rectify some of the City’s current development challenges within the City's Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ). On the motion of Heidi Wilder, second by Matt Ticzkus, the Council voted to approve Resolution R2022- 09 directing City staff to apply to the Texas Public Utility Commission for the partial decertification of the City's certificate of convenience and necessity for sewer services for the areas currently certified that lay outside the City's corporate limits. Motion carried 4 - 0.

Consider approval of amendment to the Water and Wastewater Utility Service Policy and adoption of Ordinance O2022-04. On the motion of Heidi Wilder, second by Matt Ticzkus, the Council voted to adopt Ordinance O2022-04 to implement the amended policy. Motion carried 4 - 0.

CONSIDERING REQUESTS FOR WATER AND/OR WASTEWATER UTILITY SERVICE FROM PROPERTIES OUTSIDE OF THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WEATHERFORD; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF ALL ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
