The Parker County Commissioners Court met in session Aug. 15, 2023 at the courthouse in Weatherford. What the court decided, as the minutes record it:

Texas County and District Retirement System (TCDRS). Motion by Commissioner Walden, seconded by Commissioner Conley, to accept the contribution rate to TCDRS at 13; all aye; carried.
Salaries and benefits for Elected Officials. No action taken.
Salaries and Benefits for Precincts. Motion by Commissioner Conley, seconded by Commissioner Walden, to approve the salary and benefit increases as written for Precincts Two, Three and Four; all aye; carried.
Salaries and Benefits for PCSO. No action taken.
Salaries and Benefits for Non-Elected Employees. No action taken.
Additional Employee Salary Requests and/ or New Positions. Minutes-Budget Session August 15, 2023 Page 3. Motion by Commissioner Conley, seconded by Judge Deen, to approve the addition of one full time position at $55,000, and an increase in the part time budget to $45,000 in IT; all aye; carried.
Pay Increase for Election Judges and Clerks. No action taken.
Pay for Comp-time for Elections Staff for Uniform Election for the Month of May on Even Years. Motion by Commissioner Hale, seconded by Commissioner Conley, to approve; all aye; carried.
Gross longevity is earned at a rate of $6.25 per month (75.00 per year).
Employee must be a full time employee and actively employed at time of pay out. If employment terminates prior to the payment date, he or she will not receive a longevity payment.
Longevity will be paid in one lump sum on the payday prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Federal income tax, social security, and TCDRS retirement contributions will be deducted from the gross amount.
All longevity pay will be disbursed in the form of direct deposit unless otherwise requested by the employee.
Full time employees of Extension Services or Community Service Correctional Department (CSCD) who leave those agencies and become employed full time by Parker County within 30 days of leaving either agency will get credit for continuous service years counting toward earned longevity pay, effective August 20, 2012.
