Weatherford City Council, Feb. 9, 2021: 9 items; Proclamation recognizing Weatherford Rotary's 65th anniversary of the "Pancake Supper"

Proclamation recognizing Weatherford Rotary's 65th anniversary of the "Pancake Supper" and 100th anniversary of the club's charter. Mayor Paschall presented the proclamation to President Peggy Hutton and members of the Weatherford Rotary Club.

Consent agenda, approved as one vote (5-0, on the motion of Heidi Wilder, second by Kevin Cleveland): Approved the minutes of the City Council meeting held January 26, 2021. Accepted the FY21 1st Quarter Investment Report for quarter ended December 31, 2020. Approved Ordinance O2021-07 amending the City of Weatherford's fee schedule for FY21. Approved a request for the Links Village FINAL PLAT for a 7.035 acres tract of land out of the S. Bavouset survey, located in the City of Weatherford ETJ, Parker County, Texas. SBD2021- 0002. Adopted Ordinance O2021-08 for establishing traffic control signs at various street locations within the City. Approved a Chapter 380 agreement with Riverside Homebuilders, Ltd. and authorized the City Manager to execute the agreement.

Consider approval of Resolution R2021-05 amending the City of Weatherford Investment Policy and Strategy, which conforms to the Public Funds Investment Act, Chapter 2256, Texas Government Code and also addresses potential opportunities to expand the City's investment portfolio beyond those specifically listed in Chapter 2256, Texas Government Code. Assistant City Manager Brad Burnett presented this item. On the motion of Heidi Wilder, second by Jeff Robinson, the Council voted unanimously to approve R2021-05 and the amended investment policy. Motion carried 5 - 0.

Discussion and consideration of all matters incident and related to authorizing a notice of intention to issue certificates of obligation, including the consideration of Resolution R2021-06 pertaining thereto. On the motion of Heidi Wilder, second by Kevin Cleveland, the Council voted unanimously to approve authorization of notice of intention to issue certificates of obligation including Resolution R2021-06 pertaining thereto. Motion carried 5 - 0.
