4.a: Receive a report on the Wholesale Wastewater Contract between Weatherford Municipal Utility System and City of Hudson Oaks. Director of Water Utilities Rick Shaffer introduced City of Hudson Oaks' City Administrator Sterling Naron. Mr. Naron provided a report that included a project overview. This report was for informational purposes and no action was required or taken.
6.a: Consider the purchase of services from AIMS Companies for cleaning and inspection of existing wastewater lines through the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) cooperative purchasing agreement (Contract No. 12583 – SC06-24) in an amount not to exceed $33,000 for a total aggregate fiscal year expenditure amount of $82,966. Director of Public Works Engineering Bill Smith presented this item. After discussion, on the motion of Lindsey Hester, second by Heidi Wilder, the board voted unanimously to approve this item. 6.b: Consider and/or act upon delinquent lake lot licenses. Director of Water Utilities Rick Shaffer presented this item. Mr. Shaffer explained that since the time of the agenda posting 10 of the 11 delinquent lake lot licenses have been paid and are now up to date. The one unpaid licensee has requested a payment plan. The arrangement includes a one- month extension that will be due by March 25, 2025 and requires the 2024 property taxes to be in compliance with the Parker County Appraisal District. John Garrison, 532 W Lake Drive, lot 115, spoke regarding his request for an arrangement plan. After discussion, on the motion of Lindsey Hester, second by Ken Davis, the board voted unanimously to approve payments and reinstate the lake lot licenses for lot 29, lot 39, lot 91, lot 92, lot 93, lot 296, lot 318, lot 458, lot 627, lot 643 and to accept the payment plan agreement as presented with Mr. John Garrison for lot 115. Motion carried 7 - 0.
6.c: Discus and/or consider an amendment to the agreement with Webber Waterworks, LLC to authorize Guaranteed Maximum Price #2, in the amount of $19,148,956.92 for the Dr. Paul Phillips Water Purification Plant Expansion to 18 MGD project, thereby increasing the total contract value to an amount not to exceed $29,375,580.25. Director of Water Utilities Rick Shaffer presented this item as well. Mr. Shaffer discussed the improvements, design, and the proposed allowances. Pete Bailey of Webber Waterworks, LLC, spoke regarding the project and the impact of potential tariffs. After discussion, on the motion of Heidi Wilder, second by Ken Davis, the board voted unanimously to approve this item. Motion carried 7 - 0.
