Hold a PUBLIC HEARING and consider a request for a zoning district change to allow a C-l Commercial Zoning District to a C-l Commercial Zoning District with a Conditional Use Permit CUP) for a Feed & Grain Store/Farm Sunnlv Store at a property located at 2551 S. Main Street and described as being a 1.325 acre tract ofland out ofthe A.M. Krouse Survey, Abstract 785, CityofWeatherford, Parker County, Texas. ZCH2018-0014. CityPlanner StanHamrickpresented this item. This property is locatedatthecorner ofBB FielderRoad and South Main Street. The initial request was for an accessory building for an existing business. The feed store located at this property never had a CUP. The Planning & Zoning Commission ( PZC) recommended denial ofthe applicant's request byavoteof5 - 1 at its meetingon July25th. Withoutthe CUP, the feed store can continue their business but cannot expand the use. On July 31st the applicant withdrewtheirrequestforthe primaryreasonthatifitmoves forward andtheCityCouncil denies it, then thebusinessno longerholds its legal non-conformingstatus. MayorSwancy opened thepublichearingat 6:38p.m. Astherewerenospeakers, Mayor Swancyclosedthepublichearingat6:38p.m. Onthemotion ofICevin Cleveland, second by JeffRobinson, the Council voted unanimously to acceptthe withdrawal.
