Consent agenda, approved as one vote (4-0, on the motion of Heidi Wilder, second by Jeff Robinson): Approved the minutes of the City Council meetings held December 12, 2017 and December 14, 2017. Adopted Ordinance 866-2018-01 establishing Stop signs at various street intersections. Approved ordinance 887-2018-02 for the voluntary annexation of approximately 2.23 acres tract of land, located at 2909 East Bankhead Drive, situated in the L.P. Duncan Survey, Abstract No. 391 and the W. M. Cozart Survey, Abstract No. 245, Parker County, Texas, and being a portion of a called 5 acre tract of land described in the Contract of Sale and Purchase as recorded in Volume 1878, Page 1449, Real Records, Parker County, Texas. Awarded Bid #2018-007 for LDPE plastic bags to Houston Poly Bag, Ltd. based on lowest and most responsive overall bid that complied with requirements. Approved the purchase of a 2019 Freightliner dump truck for the Street Division from Freightliner of Austin, Texas through Buy Board Cooperative Purchasing for an amount not to exceed $102,444.00.
Agreement for Automatic Aid Assistance between the City of Weatherford and Parker County Emergency Services District #7. Firefighter Michael Baldwin presented this item. He explained automatic aid which covers the first four hours. At that point the mutual aid agreement would take over for an additional 12 hours. On the motion of Heidi Wilder, second by Kevin Cleveland, the Council voted unanimously to approve this item. Motion carried 4 - 0.
