Parker County's adopted 2026-27 budget: $3,086,126 more in property taxes per the cover page

The cover page filed with the county clerk Sept. 28 says the budget raises 3.7 percent more in property taxes than last year's, 92 percent of it from new property, at a rate equal to the no-new-revenue rate; the five-member court is recorded as For. The detail report generated Sept. 29 totals $106,016,295 for the General Fund and $42,637,390 for the Sheriff's Office.

Parker County's 2026 tax rate: $0.284719 per $100, per the posted Order 26-42

The order on the county's site levies $0.185698 for the general fund and $0.049162 for the lateral road fund, plus $0.049859 for debt; all five members signed as For. The order is dated Sept. 28; the notice had set the vote for Sept. 22.

Weatherford vs Arlington Sam Houston score: Kangaroos 59-10, per MaxPreps

Weatherford scored in every quarter but the fourth and led 38-7 at the half in its first district win of the season; the Kangaroos are 3-2, 1-1, with no game until Oct. 9 at Arlington Lamar.
