Cloudy, high near 91, storms this afternoon and overnight; a Flood Watch for Parker County from 4 p.m. today through 7 a.m. Friday

A slight chance of rain showers between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms; cloudy, high near 91, south wind 15 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 35 mph, chance of precipitation 50 percent. Tonight showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain, low around 70, 1 to 2 inches possible. Thursday showers and thunderstorms, high near 82, 2 to 3 inches possible. The Flood Watch issued by NWS Fort Worth at 4:40 a.m. lists Parker County among 36 counties mainly along and west of I-35; it says slow-moving showers and storms will likely bring widespread 2 to 4 inches, with 5 to 7 inches possible in localized areas, and that low-water crossings may be flooded.

The Texas A&M Forest Service list stamped 8:24 a.m. Sept. 29 carries 216 counties under a burn ban, Parker County among them, with Tarrant, Hood, Palo Pinto, Wise, Johnson, Jack, Erath, Somervell and Denton also listed.
