The report, in the packet for Thursday's Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, covers July through September. At Chandor Gardens, staff confirmed oak wilt on Simmon's Driveway through Texas A&M, began removing trees, identified priority trees for treatment and pursued more treatment funding. Crews introduced goat scaping to clear vegetation from the Heritage Park canal and Lake Weatherford hillsides, repaired the Marshall Park splash pad and the Friendship Park zip line, and removed dead elms at Heritage Park and the Public Safety Building.

Cherry Park Pool closed Aug. 9, and the city extended pool operations for the Weatherford ISD swim team. The quarter's tallies: 266 swim lessons booked, 130 Camp Wrangler participants, 190 field reservations at Holland Lake and 85 pavilion reservations; First Monday Trade Days had 366 reserved spaces in July and September and 308 in August. Facilities completed 176 service requests and continued the Service Center renovation and an addition at 118 Columbia.
